City focus

Map of Tbilisi churches

108 parishes of all confessions — Orthodox, Armenian, Catholic, Lutheran, Jewish, Molokan and more — with parish-register years, links to records in the National Historical Archive of Georgia and a search guide. Church points can be viewed on the old maps of Tiflis from 1898 and 1904.

Where the data comes from

All metric books on the map come from the National Historical Archive of Georgia (Tbilisi, 1 Vazha-Pshavela Ave). How to request documents and how the archive works — see the “Where to find documents?” section at the bottom of the map.

10 km radius analysis

A button in the parish card highlights every parish within 10 km — useful when the book for your village did not survive.

Before / After mode

Switch between the source data and the curators' published edits. The number next to the button shows how many edits are applied.

Add settlement coordinates

The 'Add settlement coords' button opens settlements not yet located. You can propose coordinates manually or via OpenStreetMap — submissions go to moderation.

Missing-years correction

From the parish card — 'Suggest missing-years correction'. Your list joins the admin moderation queue.

Report a problem

Bottom-right button: a general form for bugs, typos, wrong coordinates and ideas. Contact info is optional.

Tbilisi tab + old maps

108 parishes of all confessions with direct links to the National Historical Archive of Georgia records. Old maps of Tiflis 1898 and 1904, adjustable opacity and a police-districts layer.

District / region highlight

Card buttons 'Highlight all points of district/region' help to see an entire administrative cluster.

Reset view and statistics

A button restoring the initial zoom and centre. Under the search bar — a counter of matches and overall data-coverage stats.

Embed on your site

The map can be embedded as an iframe (the '…/embed' URL) — auxiliary buttons hidden, but search, legend and point cards stay fully working.
